Difference between nofollow and dofollow links

Advertisements

When it comes to backlinks, the first thing that comes to mind is the Nofollow and Dofollow links. This is basically two different attributes of any type of link, through which search engine bots or crawlers are given two different commands about the link of the blog / website. These two types of links carry two completely different meanings to search engines.

Although the subject is very simple but after understanding the whole topic it will make you much more aware to create backlinks. Note that we are already sharing a detailed post about what backlinks are or how important backlinks are and how backlinks contribute to search engine optimization.

Nofollow and Dofollow Links

One thing you should know clearly today before learning about Nofollow and Dofollow links, no matter what kind of link is Nofollow or Dofollow on your blog / website, it will not reveal any different meaning to the visitor. What is meant by Nofollow for visitors will also be understood with Dofollow. In a word, there is no difference between Nofollow and Dofollow links for visitors.

What is a nofollow link?

Needless to say, nofollow link. Simply put, nofollow links are used to command search engines not to follow such links. The whole thing can be said in this way, when a search engine bot or crawler crawls a blog, if it sees a nofollow link somewhere in that blog, then the search engine bot will bypass that kind of link without visiting it.
In that case, no matter how many Nofollow links you create on your blog, it will not be of any importance to the search engines. In particular, Google does not yet consider the Nofollow link as a Back Link.

What is a dofollow link?

The complete opposite of Nofollow is the Dofollow link. When a search engine bot or crawler crawls a blog, if it sees a Dofollow link somewhere in that blog, then the search engine bot throws such a link and goes to the page of that link. At the same time, some value was taken away from the post that was linked to. This type of link is considered as Back Link by all types of search engines. And you must know that Dofollow Back Links have a lot of value in search engines.

What are the benefits of Dofollow Links?

From the above definition you must understand that Nofollow link cannot be of any importance to search engine. In that case, if you can create Dofollow Link by linking your blog with different Dofollow blogs, then it can bring some value from those blogs to your blog. I am making more clear about the benefits of Dofollow link through your example.
Suppose your blog has 5 previously indexed posts. You made a new post today. In that case search engine will take 1/2 day to index your new post today. In this case, when the search engine bot re-visits the old posts within these 2 days, if it sees the Dofollow link of your new post in that old post, it will immediately index the link. This is called Internal Dofollow Link in search engine language. In the same way if you can create Dofollow Link of your new posts with any other blog then search engine will index your new posts in a short time.

Nofollow and Dofollow link introduction:

To create a Dofollow link for your blog, you must recognize the Dofollow link blog. Many people do not have a good understanding of Nofollow and Dofollow links and cannot create a back link for their blog. For that many people ask why I made a comment with a link in such a blog but I did not get any back link?
This question has also made me a lot of visitors to my blog. After reading this post, you may be clear about whether you get backlinks when you comment on any blog or if you get backlinks when you comment on which blog and which blogs you do not get. At the same time, I am telling everyone not to add links to anyone’s blog just by commenting unnecessarily. Because most people do not like this subject.
Usually the attribution of Nofollow link is as follows
<a href=”#” rel=”nofollow”> Somethings </a>
When you see the rel = “nofollow” text in red at the top of a link, you will understand that this link is Nofollow. On the other hand, when there is no Attribution with any link, you will understand that it is Dofollow link. If you want to Nofollow a link then you have to add the rel = “nofollow” part at the end of the link.

Dofollow comment blog created :.

By default, the Comment Section of the Blogger Template is Nofollow and all other sections, including the Post Section, are Dofollow. That’s why if you comment on a blog, the back link is not available. If you want to dofollow the comments section of the blog, follow the short tips below.
  • Login to the blog first.
  • Then click Template> Edit Html from the Blogger Dashboard.
  • Now search the bottom by pressing Ctrl + F from the keyboard.

<a expr:href=’data:comment.authorUrl’rel=’nofollow’>

<data: comment.author/ > </a>

  • Here you have to write dofollow in place of the red nofollow or if you delete the entire line above, the comment section of the blog will be dofollow.

Easy way to recognize Nofollow and Dofollow blogs

There are many tools available online to recognize Nofollow and Dofollow blogs. One of the easiest addons is NoDofollow. If you add this little addon to your web browser, you can easily recognize any Nofollow and Dofollow blog. See how-
  • First install the NoDofollow Addon in Firefox Browser from this link.
  • Then visit any one website.
  • Now place the cursor on that website and click the right mouse button.
  • Then if you click on the NoDofollow option, you will see Highlights in two colors in place of different links of the website.
  • The highlighted purple links are Dofollow and the light red links are Nofollow links.

Lastly: I believe you can get a clear idea about Nofollow and Dofollow links / blogs from the whole thing above. From now on, at least you will not add links in the comments of unnecessary blogs in the hope of creating back links. If anyone has a problem understanding the whole thing clearly let us know.
